National Electrification Project (NEP)
Under the World Bank-funded National Electrification Project (NEP), Zeya & Associates (Z&A) was awarded 19 contracts by the Ministry of Electricity and Energy (MOEE) to expand rural electrification across Myanmar.
The project included the engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning of 33 kV and 11 kV distribution networks, together with 33/0.4 kV and 11/0.4 kV distribution substations.
During Phase I for 5,000 villages, Z&A successfully electrified 996 villages, representing the largest number of villages awarded to a single contractor, contributing significantly to Myanmar's rural electrification and socio-economic development.
