Organizational Requirements – monitor trends
As we said earlier, it’s not enough to look at snapshots in time when trying to control a project. A trend chart gives additional information. In this example, the team is getting behind schedule. What is a primary reason for this? Not enough resources? Sure enough, cost expenses are under plan. But notice what happens near the end of September: the team is getting further behind schedule and cost is overrun. This situation needs immediate attention.
