Senior
                  Management Support Groups (continued)
                  Some companies have made effective
use of senior management forums where project managers can
                  regularly and openly discuss
problems or authority issues. Senior managers also use these
forums to discuss strategic issues and review key performance
or financial indicators of the projects. Project teams regularly
report to one or more working groups of key executives who
make business decisions, establish priorities, facilitate cross-organizational
communication, and provide coaching to aid in conflict resolution.
The following two examples show both extensive and minimum
use of review groups in organizations to coordinate suites
                  of matrix projects. |
