rolling
wave planning: a method of “progressive elaboration” planning
that holds the definition of mid-term and long-term tasks
at a higher WBS level than near-term tasks. Often used
when the project involves a process of discovery such that
later tasks can not be fully specified until current tasks
are completed. The detailed planning horizon is generally
                      three to six months.
